When driving toward the Florida Everglades, there are many things that come to mind: beauty, wildlife, humidity and — ice skating.
Kendall Ice Arena at Hammocks Town Center on Kendall Drive offers many activities for all types of skaters. Whether it is public skating, pick-up hockey, hockey leagues, figure-skating lessons or birthday parties, only the arena has it.
It is a family-run business and the only public ice rink in Miami-Dade County. The arena encompasses two National Hockey League regulation-size ice rinks, concession stands, a game room and a pro shop. It serves many functions, as a hockey rink, a figure-skating competition site, a place for after-school activity, but most of all, as a community center. Read more
